The Pleasure of Playing with Emily Rodgers

on Sep 01,2016

We had the pleasure of hosting the Emily Rodgers Band (Pittsburgh, PA) in August for the final show in Warehouse D at The Candy Factory before the space went under renovations for the fall and winter. It was a sweltering late summer evening as our the atmospheric and dreamy pop sounds swirled around Warehouse D for over 50 listening room lovers.

Emily and her band toured around the northeast over the summer to support her latest album, Two Years, which was released in June on Misra Records. The album is filled with atmospheric melancholy swimming under layers of reverb soaked instrumentation that creates a beautifully dark foundation for Emily’s ethereal vocals. Hearing those songs performed live by Emily’s long-time band was a pleasure in itself, but the opportunity to open the show made it an even more special evening. – JM
